This year as part of Mercy in Action, Year 9 students have been tutoring St Brendanā€™s students after school on a Wednesday. We have had two sessions so far. The St ¹ū¶³APP students have learned skills in interacting with younger students and their behaviour and commitment to this has been wonderful.

As a part of our Mercy RITES initiative, students were split into House groups to go to St Brendan's Primary School to tutor some of their students after school. We helped them brush up on some of their multiplication, listened to them read and we were given the chance to answer some questions about high school. They were really to meet everyone and overall, it was a joy to get to know them. This experience has taught me some valuable things through taking time out of my day to help benefit others.

Tutoring at St Brendanā€™s was an incredibly fun experience that helped us St ¹ū¶³APP students build strong connections with the kids. They were incredibly fun to tutor, as they were very kind and amazing to be around.
